Starting January 2012 a new Bluescar cruises again in Basel's streets and promotes the festival. You might see it in the streets of the city as well as in the regio. Claus Perrig is the driver of this marvellous MAZDA sponsored by  Nef Automobile, Münchenstein. NEF Automobile is the new Supporter of the Festival. You can also see NEF cars during the Festival in the courtyard of the Volkshaus.

NEF is also sponsoring the «GERMAN BLUESROCK NIGHT» BY NEF AUTOMOBILE who takes place on March 30th 2012. The event features Singer Jessy Martens from Hamburg and the famous Multi Instrumentalist, Singer, Gitarrplayer and Composer Henrik Freischlader. It will certainly be one of the highlights of the festival.

The program of the 13^th Blues Festival Basel from 27^th March to 1^st April 2012 is set!

As every year, stars of the Blues world may be enjoyed, and for the first time there will a concert in advance in Weil on the Rhine, within the scope of a cross-border partnership, which quite definitely has a potential of growing.

In addition, the entry to the Swiss Talent Blues Night on 27th March is free for all visitors. Participating is easy, and also free of charge. Please enter your application (band description, photos, CD) no later than 14th December 2011 to the following address:

A jury will pick six bands from the applicants. These participate in an Internet voting, activated from January 12^th to 13^th, 2012. The top three bands are then invited to present their live qualities at the Swiss Talent Blues Night on 27^th March 2012 - the opening night of the festival.

That evening, a jury, consisting of members of the jury of the Swiss Blues Award, will choose one of the three formations. In 2013, this band will appear at a major evening of Blues Festival Basel, as opening act of a famous star.
